I just wanted to tell you how right you are! Making shops here is VERY addictive!!!! The addition of the "customizing" ability has made it even worse!!!
I'm up to 6 and counting!

I got thrown out of bed by our son, his wife and the two little "monsters". So grandma had to entertain the kids today.
And - well, with the latest one I have 11 shops at Zazzle. I guess now I have to take some time off and start filling up again - trouble is when I see my old designs I tend to re-design them ...
Maybe we should start a self-help goup for POD addicts

So what's with all the shops ?
Why not just make section in a shop or is all your stuff completely different from each other and need shops of their own
Just curious......

I have 7 shops, 6 of them are niches, and the 7th is a mixture of stuff that doesn't fit in the others.

I STILL have no idea HOW to showcase each of my designs in Zazzle (you know, like with the individual Sections we had at CP). . .and I have more than 70 different breeds of dogs (plus cats, red pandas, toucans, etc., etc., etc.,) Scottish Highland Dancers and Irish Step Dancers AND Glorious Greece, plus 8 basic shops. . .EACH dog breed has more than 60 designs. . .6,085 total already uploaded to CP. . .EACH needs a Section.
Now I could just lump those 222,000 products all into a nice messy pile in ONE Zazzle shop, but I prefer to showcase my DESIGNS. . .
Do I sound frustrated?
That's OK, temporarily, at the moment, I'm STILL uploading. . .Ha!
But, eventually, I'm gonna hafta figure out how to showcase those designs, am I not?

Several reasons:
1. I do not want to make the shops too large and the customers get overwhelmed with the choices. The single shops might not look full now - but wait a while and each of them will be huge !
2. Yes, my stuff is pretty diverse. One day I feel like cute designs, the next like naughty, the next dark and gothic. So there´s designs that go together, but you wouldn´t want to show them all in one shop - it might scare some customers off or offend them.
3. I have a lot of niche stuff which I feel is best in it´s own environment so to speak.
4. The cards and business cards are one-off designs especially for that purpose - they deserve their own shop.
Apart from that - I love opening a new "themed" shop when boredom or creative block hits me. Nothing better to get the creative juices flow when you think of a new theme, have a couple of designs and want to fill a shop  Plus - they´re free!

Basically that's what I have done. I took my existing CP shops, and gave each of the sections that were getting lost at CP, their own shop at Z.
I have http://www.zazzle.com/bambisdesigns which is a "Holiday" shop
I have http://www.zazzle.com/bambiscoolstuff which is funny and "in" types of stuff....I might even move the Lil Dragonfly into it's own shop....haven't decided yet.
I have http://www.zazzle.com/colorthis which is coloring stuff
I have http://www.zazzle.com/ginghambabies which is all baby clothes and cutsie critters in gingham
I have http://www.zazzle.com/weedrgaons which is all small little cutsie dragons
and lastly I have http://www.zazzle.com/trinketandvalentino which are my cartoon cats.
None of these things really go with each other...and the more I think about it, the more I think I will give the Lil Dragonfly her own shop. LOL See....this is how it happens!
